Hello everybody,
Since tetex was upgraded on gentoo, I can't compile any latex document. However, the tex source file did'nt change at all, so this must be a problem with latex on gentoo. I get this error message when I run the command
Code:
latex <.../Howto_TM_2.6.19.tex>

Code:
This is pdfeTeX, Version 3.141592-1.30.5-2.2 (Web2C 7.5.5)
entering extended mode

! LaTeX Error: Missing \begin{document}.

So, it's seems that the header \begin{document} is missing. This isn't true and I can in fact compile my document using Debian sid tetex packages on another computer. Can somebody explains to me what's happening ?

Thanks for your help,
François Valenduc

I think I have found the cause of the problem. In fact, the problem is caused by the traditional line
Code:
\usepackage[ps2pdf,colorlinks=true,linkcolor=webred]{hyperref}

If I remove it, I can compile my tex file. The problem is then that in a pdf file, the weblinks and bookmarks don't work, which is quite annoying !

François
