Just upgraded this weekend, and picked up the latest GNOME, 2.6.12. I don't know if you've had a chance, but this is revision includes a wonderful speed improvement. Animations on screen up, and screen down happen sharply and crisply. Display fonts are great. Very happy to have invested the time.
(of course it could have been recent compiler or kernel upgrades, but I've been using 2.6.18 Rn gentoo sources for awhile). |

Yep, I also noticed significant improvements. I used to use gnome 2.12, but dropped it, and 2.16.2 is really sth good. _________________ The clock is ticking, brothers and sisters, counting down to Armageddon. |
