Ah fixed it! I emerge GCC 3, un-merged GCC 4 and then re-emerged GCC 4 to install another program. I gave klibc a shot and it worked fine.
When I try to emerge klibc (I'm trying to get gensplash to work) I get this error. Could this be because my GCC optimization flag is set to -O5? If so how can I fix this and what should I re-emerge after I lower the optimization flag?

I was having the same problem and tried servel other fixes people said worked on the boards but this last one finally work. I was somewhat apprehensive screwing with GCC but it worked. I would love to know why this worked though. |
