i have a modified file in /etc/xmodmap.conf that i want executed everytime someone logs in. i use gdm, so i read i should put
/usr/bin/xmodmap /etc/xmodmap.conf
in /etc/X11/gdm/PostLogin/Default
and it doesn't work.
executing
xmodmap /etc/xmodmap.conf
from the command line works.
i am using gnome 2.16 and i thought this was the right way to do this. |

are there any errors being generated?
/var/log/gdm
~/.xsession-errors
Also have you tried putting the command in /etc/X11/gdm/PreSession ?
I got this from http://www.taupro.com/wiki/ChemBook/XDisplayManager Hopefully this site will help. |
