kwifimanager
I used kwifimanager to connect, and get the connection settings once. For "The Gentoo way", I had to translate its output to conf.d/net variables.
If you connect to new wlans often, kwifimanager might help. But in general I strongly prefer Gentoo's baselayout with conf files and scripts, it can manage an arbitrary number of wireless "profiles" that are configured once, then connect without manual intervention. |
