i am not sure if i understand all those dependencies... i want to connect my "Toshiba Wireless Lan Mini PCI Card" to my router, as far as i could find out the card is internal connected to the PCMCIA cardbus of my notebook and uses the orinoco chipset??
i tried it with following wpa_supplicant options : wext, ndiswrapper, atmel, madwifi ect... but none of them works.
in dmesg i can see the following : Code: | pcmcia: registering new device pcmcia0.0
orinoco 0.15 (David Gibson <hermes@gibson.dropbear.id.au>, Pavel Roskin <proski@
gnu.org>, et al)
orinoco_cs 0.15 (David Gibson <hermes@gibson.dropbear.id.au>, Pavel Roskin <pros
ki@gnu.org>, et al)
pcmcia: request for exclusive IRQ could not be fulfilled.
pcmcia: the driver needs updating to supported shared IRQ lines.

so far so good. i think the hardwaredriver is working fine. but with wireless-tools i just can set up encrypted connections with WEP and wpa_supplicant doesnt find my card... any suggestions ? thx a lot, this is making me mad..
EDIT1: here i read http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/Tools.html that newer versions of wireless-tools are supporting WPA, can someone tell what the exact commands are?? _________________ I do not have a Superman complex, for I am God not Superman
