Hi,
I have got a new no name ("traveler DC4300). So i wanted to set it up on my gentoo linux machine. So i first updated my kernel so that it inculdes the following modules:
standard usb modules like usb uhci
preliminary usb device filesystem
usb mass storage support
San Disk SDDR-09 support
SCSI-Suppor and SCSI disk support
So after restarting with the new kernel and loading the usb modules ... i plug in the digicam.
But there is no device in /dev/ for the cam ... (or i dont know what device it is, but /dev/sg0 and sg1 are lining to my real scsi drives ... but there is no sg2 for the cam.
So i tried dmesg and see this;
Code: |
hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1, assigned device number 3
scsi1 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
|
So i think my gentoo knows that i pluged s.th. in.
Then i tried:
cat /proc/scsci/scsi
and look ... :
Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 03 Lun: 00
Vendor: YAMAHA Model: CRW2100S Rev: 1.0H
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 05 Lun: 00
Vendor: PIONEER Model: DVD-ROM DVD-303R Rev: 1.09
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: Model: Rev:
Type: <NULL> ANSI SCSI revision: ffffffff
Even here i can see that something has happend but ... i think it doesnt know what it really is ...
Ok please tell me if you know what to do...
Thanks
Gnirf
P.S: In the cam is a 32 Mb Panasonic sd card _________________ On the Box was written: "Needs Win98 or better"....So I installed Linux ... |
