|
|
Hello,
I try to automount a dvd-ram with KDE. My system is up-to-date. I have written a cdrw-init-script to make a pktsetup on boot automatically. When I make
Code: |
mount -t udf -o rw,noatime,async,users /dev/pktcdvd/dvdram /mnt/dvdram
|
as root I can copy files to the disk. But this isn't working as normal user. I have made
Code: |
mkudffs --media-type=dvdram /dev/cdrw
|
as root, because the medium wasn't formatted. When the medium is mounted, ls -la gives
Code: |
ls -la /mnt | grep dvdram
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 276 21. Dez 20:58 dvdram
|
When inserting the disk, a popup appears, like connecting a digicam to the USB-port, that a media want to be mounted. In konqueror I only can see in the media display "LinuxUDF", but when I try to open it, there is a dialog coming up, telling me, that there are not enough rights. But looking onto the filesystem on /media, where e.g. a digicam normally is mounted, there is no device like this at all.
This is, what emerge --info gives:
Code: |
emerge --info

This leads me to 2 questions:
1. Why is HAL and dbus not handling the mounting with the correct rights?
2. Why is it only possible copying data onto the disk as root, after I have mounted it manually with the option "users"?
Thanks in advance,
Stefan.

Hello,
I have set the rights of the root on the disk to 777, so I can now mount and copy data to the disk as normal user. But mounting the device automatically still not works. Also I have found the init-script pktcdvd. With this script the device-node /dev/pktcdvd/hdc is created. In KDE the entry LinuxUDF is pointing to /media/hdc, but there is still no directory on the filesystem.
