E-mail sytem on Invision IPB forum board

I just buy IPB 2.2 forum board script and installed fine on gentoo linux with mysql, php & apache webserver ! Its my first time to do this and i stuck with settings e-mail !
On board everything working fine also PM massages but only mail dont work !
On settings have that i write my email and option php or smtp i try both and i try to put my isp smtp server and isp mail and dont work ! What i need to install to members when i have tham have chance to send mail ?
Postfix , Sendmail, exim, or something else also i would love that i have my own email server incoming and outgoing that I dont depend of my ISP !

Other information is that i have dynamic IP adress and using no-ip website for portforwording and name of site !(example hxxp://sitename.name.com/) !

And if someone have time to help me and give me instruction with server what i need to install exim, sendmail, qmail, postfix i never do that and need full guide please !

If you need a full email system with imap/pop3 etc:

http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/virt-mail-howto.xml

if you want to be able to recieve mail from the outside you would need an mx-record
i´m not sure if no-ip offers this

if you just want users from the board to be able to send email mail-mta/ssmtp would be the right choice

basicly you just need to configure which smtp you will use (your ISP´s), give a username and password and you are ready to go

I look in that topic, posts I only sow it that some guy success with xmail but dont find description ?

I just need how to ! That sending mail works on IPB
