hmm... then you should have kdelibs installed too, and that's probably what it would mean with the KDE headers... weird

It's not a problem with your setup, but with the keyman sources. I tried a few times to install them, but never got them to compile. There has been a howto i think somewhere in the forums, but i didn't find it.
According to this german howto the 3 problematic files inside the keyman sources are
    kkeymanconfig/configure
    server/plugins/kde/configure
    systray/configure
To solve the KDEDIRS problem, open them in a texteditor and search for
Code:
kde_libdirs="\
 /usr/lib
 /opt/kde3/lib"
and add
Code:
if [ -n "$KDEDIR" ]; then
 kde_libdirs="$KDEDIR/lib $kde_libdirs"
fi
after that. If the error remains, open a terminal
Code:
echo $KDEDIR
and if it stays blank do
Code:
export KDEDIR=/usr/kde/3.5/ (ro whatever your KDEDIR is)

But that's just the solution to the KDEDIR problem. If you succeed to install them, let me know. If nothing works, you should consider to use the rpm package (convert with rpm2tgz, extract and copy the files to where they belong) or to look for alternatives (maybe lineak will do the job?).

Code:
Adriaan rezound # equery belongs moc
[ Searching for file(s) moc in *... ]
x11-libs/qt-3.3.4-r8 (/usr/qt/3/bin/moc)

Tadaa! So I guess you'll have to add "/usr/qt/3/bin/" To your path. export PATH="$PATH:/usr/qt/3/bin/"

I'm currently doing find / |grep libkdecore

OK it's there... so now you need to try and add this somewhere in a library prefix thing of the configure script, or again try adding that directory to your path. You have that file,right?
