Hi all

After having upgraded to UDEV 103, I have new complaints at startup - one is referring to an unknown option SUBSYSTEMS in 00-ipod.rules, the other about an unknown option DRIVER in 01-pda.rules.

Here are the two files:
00-ipod.rules:
Code:

BUS="scsi", SYSFS{model}="iPod*", KERNEL="sd?2", NAME="%k", SYMLINK="ipod"

Funny, ey, there is no SUBSYSTEMS in here... 8O
The ipod can be mounted without any problems (never tried out to transfer music to it, though)

01-pda.rules:
Code:

DRIVER="ipaq", NAME="ipaq", SYMLINK="tts/USB%n", GROUP="tty", MODE="0600"

However, I don't need the pda rules anymore (the pda is gone) - can I simply remove the file or do I need to do something else?

Thanks for any answers...

thomas

Odd. But you can simply ignore it (assuming it's a warning). If it's a blocking error, make sure you've built your kernel with SCSI support.

Yes, you can simply delete that file.

Thanks - deleted the pda-rule, and yes, I know that I can ignore the other one - it's just that I hoped, after I upgraded udev, that I finally will have a clean boot screen... :)

merry xmas
