Hi everyone,
I'm a student in computer science. I've to develop, with some other people, a compiler and I'd like to work in a "professional way". So my question is : don't you know any good (shared) project management soft ?
I'm also looking for a DB management program with a gui.
Many thanks |

Actually, I don't know lol.
I'm just looking for some programs that will help me and that are easy to implement on Gentoo. |

Planner is a gnomebased Project Management tool. Similar to MS Project. |

What do you mean by 'db'?
A realational database? Oracle? MySQL? Postgres?
Or a system to manage source code (that is not a db, but may use a database as part of the system).

I 've always used CVS, but I just installed Subversion this week and I'm already in love with it. They've definately made a lot of improvements. The commandline interface is not scary at all, but TortiseSVN is a nice GUI for Windows.
Depending on the size of your group, you might also find bugzilla to be useful for keeping track of bugs etc. Or not. I don't know if that'd be overkill. |
