|

I've got acpi and cpufreq working well on my thoshiba m200 laptop. My battery info can be seen found here:
Code: | mobile_tux ~ # cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/info
present: yes
design capacity: 50760 mWh
last full capacity: 46602 mWh
battery technology: rechargeable
design voltage: 10800 mV
design capacity warning: 939 mWh
design capacity low: 0 mWh
capacity granularity 1: 10 mWh
capacity granularity 2: 10 mWh
model number: G71C0004S210
serial number: 1100018547
battery type: Li-ION
OEM info:
mobile_tux ~ # cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state
present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: charging
present rate: 18414 mW
remaining capacity: 46018 mWh
present voltage: 11260 mV

But gnome-power-manger always thinks my laptop is plugged in. It doesn't even list battery options under properties. Any ideas?

gnome-power-manager for Gentoo can be a pain in the a** sometimes. Try a Fedora Core, Ubuntu, etc, LiveCD and see if it works with any of them. _________________ Gentoo Hardened Linux 2.6.21 + svorak (Swedish dvorak) |

don't have a cd drive in my laptop and no desktop to do a network boot around currently.. do you know where gnome-power-manager reads the battery info from? maybe I just need to redirect it |

ah didn't realize that. a simple "/etc/init.d/hald start" did the trick! |
