Hello!
I just put in the minimal cd in my flappy and when it boots, it just stops at "attempting to mount CD:- /dev/hdc"
It has mounted hda and hda1
what about that? |

csid,
Try the nodma and noapic and noaipc options on the boot line in any and all combinations.
If they all fail, then give nodetect a try. That turns off all attempts at hardware detection so you have to modprobe your modules and set things up for yourself _________________ Regards,

neddyseagoon,
thanks for the answer!
But none of the commands did work, neither did nodetect...
Still freezes after "attempting to mount cd:- /dev/hdc"
The cursor blinks, but after a while it freezes too... |

csid,
Well done!
You can fix your DMA when you get to making your own kernel. Its only an issue for the install.
In fact, it may even be on now, after the IDE chipset has been detected.
Look withwhat does that say about using DMA ? _________________ Regards,
