oh oh, looks like i broke mysql by upgrading and not following the howto.

Now I get the errors,

mysqld wrote:

Can anyone point me in the direction of success?

roll back to the previous version. Follow the update guide. or roll back dump your data emerge -C mysql mv /var/lib/mysql to mysql.old emerge mysql configure start & import data. _________________ write quit bang
