I recently got a widescreen LCD for my computer. I want to run it at 1680x1050 which is the "optimal" resolution. It works fine when it is directly attached to the windows machine or the linux machine. The problem comes when I want to switch to windows from linux. It won't. It gives an error of Cannot Display this Video mode. This only happens if Windows is not started first. If it is, then I can switch back and forth just fine. If I reboot, then it won't switch again. This worked just fine with my CRT and I really don't want to go back to it, but I might have to until I am able to get enough space for both computers to be setup.
Thanks for any help. _________________ The only difference between genious and stupidity is that stupidity has no limits. |
