I am looking for a good Beryl panel.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZD7QraljRfM

What's the one used in this video? 2 minutes in the video he plays around with it.

The one in the top is kiba-dock, the one at the bottom might be the kicker or gnome-panel, I can't see it well in the video. But it seems beryl under gnome, so, posibly it is gnome-panel.

Yes. It's a total PITA to get working but once its up you'll probably love it. I got rid of it for some reason I can't remember. Oh yeah, and the GUI config tool sucks, but that's not a big problem - you can just edit .desktop files with a text editor.

I emerged it, but now I can't set it up properly.
gset-kiba the setup tool doesn't work properly it doesn't save it's setting.

I get this error when I start gset-kiba

Code:
(gset-kiba:31817): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: gsignal.c:1669: signal `value-changed' is invalid for instance `0x813ce38'

Is there another way to set kiba up? With a text editor for example?

What I did was searching for the kiba-dock schemas file. It was on "/usr/portage/distfiles/cvs-src/kiba-dock/files/kiba.schemas". Once I got it I run as non-root user:

Code:
gconftool-2 --install-schema-file=/usr/portage/distfiles/cvs-src/kiba-dock/files/kiba.schemas

Then in gConf all kiba-dock settings appeared and gset-kiba worked properly. Well, TBH, more or less, some settings like the ones for the text background are not working, the text takes its background settings from the general background settings, but in general it works :)
