Hey, im not american, so my english is bad, i hope you wont have problems to follow it.
My hardware is a Acer Aspire 3651WLMi with an Ati Card (Radeon Xpress 200M). I installed ati-drivers-8.32.5 by:
Code: | # echo "x11-drivers/ati-drivers-8.32.5 ~x86" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
# emerge -av x11-drivers/ati-drivers |
everything was ok at this point, but when i try to use aticonfig to configure my xorg.conf, i get:
Code: | # aticonfig
bash: aticonfig: command not found |
can somebody give me a hand with this? i've been looking around the posts but i haven't seen anything like this...
please help me... |

First, adding
Code: | x11-drivers/ati-drivers |
to /etc/portage/package.keywords is enough.
Second, aticonfig is symply not in the path for the root user.
Its under "/opt/ati/bin/aticonfig".
Bye, Val. |
