I am trying to use cups for using printing as a client. I add a printer of type samba (it is windows samba shared password), as a link to device I provide smb://myusername:password@print/server4. My password looks like this: z7#.... However, after restart device link is renamed to smb://mysername:z7 and that's all. Of course, it does not print...

I use cups: 1.26
samba: 3.0.22-r3

Please, help... I really have no idea at this point what is wrong.

P.S. before the restart it looks like "smb://print/server4" (like it should).

This was a quite lame question - you need to encode # sign with %23, thanks to cups support!
