why has mp3 support been hard masked to /off/
now i can't play any movie files with mp3 audio! |

Why do you think that the mp3 USE-Flags had been hard masked? It is even on by default (on x86 with desktop profile). Current xine-lib-1.1.3 does not even need this flag since it builds always with mp3 support. |

mp3 useflag in xine-lib 1.1.2 enables/disables the libmad support. It used to be called mad, but people continued whining about it being the only mp3 support and thus needing to be set as mp3, so I changed it when I added xine-lib-1.1.3 snapshot that had mp3 support through FFmpeg forced on, while mad useflag now controls the building of an alternative mp3 decoder (sometimes better, sometimes worse). _________________ You want to know what I'm working on right now?
