Recently I got Gigabyte mobo and have some troubles with HDD detection by BIOS when connecting it to one of ICH8 SATA ports. Newertheless, if I connect the same HDD to one of Gigabyte SATA2 ports everything works just fine. Does anybody have/had about the same issues?
SOLVED: I had a problem with PSU, so replacing the unit solves my problem.

i have the Asus P965 mobo, the issue I had was with the JMicron controller - Kernel of Truth, a member here, created what he clled Small Gentoo, basically a Gentoo CD, with mm-sources kernel which has support for this build it (and also for the Core 2 cpu's) |
