|
|
Hi Guys,
I'm currently working on an african language there isn't any keymap for yet, so I want to make one.
What I want is quite easy to explain. The keymap it has to be based on is fr_CH since most people of who speak this language use swiss keyboards.
Some keys have to be replaced with unicode signs (the only font that fully shows these signs is DéjàVu):
é -> ɔ (Unicode: 0254)
ö (=shift+é) -> Ɔ (Unicode: 0186)
è -> ɛ (Unicode: 025B)
ü (=shift+è) -> Ɛ (Unicode: 0190)
à -> ɲ (Unicode: 0272)
ä (=shift+à) -> Ɲ (Unicode: 019D)
$ -> ƞ (Unicode: 019E)
£ (=shift+$) -> I didn't any capital letter of ƞ
Can you help me? It would have to work inside of KDE only. THX

Hi, keba. See a page in my site:
http://www.k2.dion.ne.jp/~oibane/aonl/en/keyboard.htm
X keyboard configuration has many pitfalls, and I think the above link will help you avoiding them. There's also some pointers to good font list sites. (I know DejaVu is good.)
Oh, the missing char is:
<U0220> /xc8/xa0 LATIN CAPITAL LETTER N WITH LONG RIGHT LEG
I found it in /usr/share/i18n/charmaps/UTF-8.gz :-)
Good luck! |

Thanks a lot. I now have my customised Keymap even working in the KDE controll center. _________________ Prayer can change the world! |
