Hi,
I posted same thing, but because there has not been any reply I post this again.
I'm trying to use multicast with several gentoo machines. I have two laptops which have fedora as well.
Gentoo has 2.6.17.6 kernel and fedora has 2.6.11.1 kernel.
When every machine is within one hop radio range, if I do "ping -I ath0 224.0.0.1" using wireless interface.
Only fedora machines response to ping.
Gentoo machines didn't response at all.
I followed the instruction for kernel in "http://www.icewalkers.com/Linux/Howto/Multicast-HOWTO-3.html"
Could you do "ping -I your-interface 224.0.0.1". then Please let me know your machine itself resposes to that ping or not.
If multicast is enabled, the machine itself who pings should response to it.
And If you would give me any idea to make multicask work, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
JK |
