|
I have dovecot running as my imap server. and can connect to it using mutt from the same box. I like to be able to connect from other (windows) machines in my home network, but trying to do that (via, thunderbird on windows for e.g) always tell me the server has disabled login. What do I modify in my dovecot.conf to allow other machines to connect to this imap server. For now, I dont want to use SSL/TLS etc.
Also where do the dovecot error messages go. /var/log/messages or elsewhere?
Thanks,
Shyam

I set
disable_plaintext_auth = no
to get this to work.
Thanks,
