I'm seeing 3 JFS related processes on my server.

What I don't get is that I don't use JFS at all on this machine. I don't have jfsutils installed either. I do, however, have support for it compiled in my kernel. Is this why I see those processes? _________________ Someone asked me once if I suffered from mental illness. I told him I enjoyed every second of it.

Yes, I think so. I see those same processes, but I do use JFS partitions.
dmesg (kernel boot):

JFS: nTxBlock = 2506, nTxLock = 20051
...
VFS: Mounted root (jfs filesystem) readonly.
