when log in via gdm starting a gnome session i get the following error:
Code: | Your session only lasted less then 10 seconds. If you have not logged out yourself, this could mean that there is some installation problem or that you may be out of diskspace. Try logging in with one of the failsafe sessions to see if you can fix this problem.

Is "Allow local system administrator login" under the Security Tab of gdmsetup unchecked? It should be since you shouldn't log into an X session as root. But if you want to bypass that protection... _________________ Please add [SOLVED] to your message title if you feel that your question has been answered.
