Hi,
After trying as many options as I can, I think that the upgrade to 7.1 has stopped my ati-drivers working. As I'd much rather have 3-d graphics than a +1 on my version number, how do I downgrade. This seems to be really messy and an emerge -C xorg-x11 doesn't work, neither does trying to limit the version in /etc/portage/package.keywords and then trying a emerge -ND xorg-x11.
Any help would be really appreciated. This has been bothering me for ages. |

man don't downgrade, fix your ati driver issues. _________________ - Failure is not an option. It's bundled with your software. |

I agree with dcoast. But I do not understand why emerge -C xorg-x11 doesn't work. Could you send error message? When you migrated to modular X did not you create a backup copy of the monolithic xorg-x11 using command as described in http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/x/x11/modular-x-howto.xml ? It creates binary backup. |
