Hallo,
ich versuche jetzt schon seit Tagen endlich den Sound auf meinem Toshiba Laptop zum Laufen zu bekommen, doch leider vergeblich.
Alsa ist in der Version 1.0.14rc1drauf und gestartet, Karte wird auch erkannt, Kanäle sind nicht auf stumm unt trotzdem bekomme ich bei keinem Programm (mplayer, amarok,xmms...)
den Sound zu höhren.

dürfte mich dann aber nicht betreffen wenn ich eine neuere version am laufen habe, oder?
irgendwelche Ideen?

Vielleicht ist Headphone und Master vertauscht, kommt wohl öfter mal vor. Hast du bestimmt auch schonmal ausprobiert, aber der Headphone steht in deinem Mixerdump auf Mute...
Falls dies der Fall ist, kann man mit einem Modulparameter die beiden Mixer tauschen (ac97_quirk).

Hallo, danke für deine Hilfe.
ich habe jetzt unter kmix als Hauptkanal "Headphone" eingestellt und "entstummt"...
leider hat das keinen erfolg gebracht.
was genau meinst du denn mit kanäle vertauschen?

Wenn du spaßeshalber mal alles entstummt hast (also auch die Regler, die offensichtlich nicht nötig sind) und noch immer kein Piep aus dem Lautsprecher kommt, brauchst du dir vorerst ums tauschen keine Gedanken zu machen  (ac97_quirk ist eine Option bei manchen ac97 und hda-Treibern (z.b. AFAIK via82xx und hda_intel, intel8x0 kenne ich nicht) um "komische" Hardwarekonfigurationen anzupassen, z.B. wenn die Anschlussleitungen von Headphone/Master/internal vertauscht sind)
Interessant könnten noch Meldungen in dmesg oder /var/log/messages sein.
ICH6 gibts mit ac97 und hda... (oh, seh grad, ist bei dir ac97)

Hallo,
danke für deinen Tipp, habe jetzt einfach mal alle entstummt, und siehe da es funktioniert 
sowohl die Boxen am laptop, als auch wenn ich Köpfhöhrer anschließe..
der Eintrag mit dem namen PCM war schuld an dem ganzen 
danke nochmals

Hehe, kenne ich. Man schraubt stundenlang rum und es will und will nicht. Irgendwann kommt einer dahergelaufen und bemerkt nebenbei "haste überhaupt den Stecker reingesteckt?" -- AUTSCH!
