Have some strange problems with compiling transcode.
My system is now running for several month and transcode worked properly. But since e few weeks, transcode won't emerge again. I uninstalled transcode and tried to reinstall the new one. It gaves me the same error every time, but I can't find something in the forums, that is similar to this error.

Sounds like it's not linking against libmpeg2. That's probably a bug in the ebuild. If you don't have mpeg in your USE flags for transcode, please turn it on and retry, otherwise emerge libmpeg2 manually via Code: | emerge media-libs/libmpeg2 | then retry transcode. _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto

Wow cool, emerge libmpeg2 did help. Transcode emerged correctly after it.
But the strange thing is, that libmpeg2 was already installed and revdep-rebuild didn't reemerge it as the old transcode was still installed. _________________ The software required Windows 98/2000/XP or better... So I installed Linux |
