Ciao,
installando il portatile di un amico, mi sono accorto di una cosa curiosa: se avvio un servizio sulla mia o sulla sua macchina, ottengo una dicitura diversa.
Sulla mia avviando samba ho:
| Code: | # /etc/init.d/samba start
* samba -> start: smbd ... [ ok ]
* samba -> start: nmbd ... [ ok ] |
Sulla sua ho:
| Code: | # /etc/init.d/samba start
* Service samba starting
* Service samba started |
posto che le versioni di baselayout e samba sono le stesse, ma la mia macchina e' in servizio da alcuni anni, mente la sua e' di nuova installazione, da cosa puo' dipendere?

Probabilmente nella macchina del tuo amico il file /etc/conf.d/rc conterrà

mentre nella tua questa variabile dovrebbe essere "no".
