Here's a problem, my video card has s-video output, but my TV, while it supports s-video, you have to press AV 4 times to use it when turning it on. I have solved this in X, I have just set "TVOutFormat" to "COMPOSITE", but is there any way to do it in the framebuffer? As you may know, using s-video when it is looking for a composite signal looks like crap. It's not a big issue, but it'd just be nice to have it sorted. |

I think that's dependent on the program, but I don't really know. What I'm wondering is if it'd be practical to get an s-video switch and use that to choose inputs, so that you could just leave the TV set to s-video all the time. They're not that expensive, and a lot of them can do signal conversion from composite to s-video. _________________ Thomas S. Howard |
