I'm considering buying the following system:
Code:

 Case
Antec Sonata II Piano Black Quiet Case - 450W SmartPower Silent PSU

 Motherboard
  MSI 965P NEO-F Intel P965 + ICH8 PCIe Motherboard

 Processor
Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 Allendale Skt 775 Retail Boxed

 Graphics
  XpertVision GeForce 7600GS 256MB DDR2 PCI-Express

 Hard Drive 1
  Samsung SpinPoint P HD160JJ 160GB SATA-II 8MB Cache

 Optical Drive 1
  Samsung SH-S182D 18x18 DVD±RW ReWriter (Black)

 Memory 1
  OCZ 2048MB DDR2 PC6400 Platinum XTC Dual Channel (OCZ2P8002GK)

but I've heard bad things about the Intel 965P chipset. I'm not entirely sure what the problem is, something to do with JMicron? It the above ok, and has the chipset been supported in the kernel yet?

Thanks,

Erlend

I've P5B Deluxe motherboard (965p chipset with Jmicron). I've installed the system correctly. I've downloaded the cd from http://www.kernel-of-truth.net/downloads_kOT.html for the jmicron.
It sees the jmicron.... But when I finished installing the system, grub didn't work, I think it is because of my raid 0. I've tried suse 10.2, grub didn't work too.

Is that problem that since we don't have anything a J-Micron driver anything not SATA doesn't work?

How does this affect grub?

I've heard that the 2.6.18 kernel has the support for jmicron. I don't know what is the problem with my grub. It could be my cflags . Because when I run grub it tells me Floating point exception.
