|
|
Hello,
I have installed the actual Version of Gentoo-Linux on a HP ProLiant DL380 G4 with a HP SmartArray 6i - Controller.
When booting the system, it comes up (with grub) but on the console there are some error-messages showing:
Code: |
udevd-event[910]: run program: exec of program '/lib/udev/raid-devfs.sh' failed
udevd-event[898]: find_free_number: %e is deprecated, will be removes and is unlikey to work correctly. Don't use it.
udevd-event[1163]: run program: exec of program '/lib/udev/raid-devfs.sh' failed
(again 4 times)
|
The directory /lib/udev contains no files.
The file /etc/udev/rules.d/50-udev.rules contains the following chapter:
Code: |
# compaq smart array
KERNEL=="cciss*", PROGRAM="raid-devfs.sh %k", NAME="%c{1}", SYMLINK+="%k"
KERNEL=="ida*", PROGRAM="raid-devfs.sh %k", NAME="%c{1}", SYMLINK+="%k"
|
The file-systems are mounted correctly - fdisk -l gives these output:
Code: |
Platte /dev/cciss/c0d0: 36.4 GByte, 36414750720 Byte
255 Köpfe, 63 Sektoren/Spuren, 4427 Zylinder
Einheiten = Zylinder von 16065 × 512 = 8225280 Bytes
Gerät boot. Anfang Ende Blöcke Id System

Gerät boot. Anfang Ende Blöcke Id System
/dev/cciss/c0d1p1 1 36472 292960304 83 Linux

Does anybody have an idea, where I find the missing file or what to do to get rid of the boot-errors ?
TIA
Hubert |

Hello,
raid-devfs.sh can be found in /etc/udev/scripts
I am not familiar with the ProLiant series, but I believe that it has specific installation requirements. There is a PDF available at http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/linux/dl380g4-drivers-cert.html which may be helpful. _________________ So here I am once more in the playground of the broken hearts. |
