According to the docs Sylpheed-claws should use the mimetypes defined in the file "/etc/mime.types" which can be emerged through portage as well. I have it all set up, but sylpheed assigns the type "aplication/octet-stream" to every attached file. When trying to manually select a mimtype, Sylpheed offers the whole list of possibilites but the are in no logical order, so finding the right one is no fun at all.
Has anyone got this working properly and how? |

Ok I found a workaround that gives the desired result:
now in the sylpheed-claws-0.8.11.ebuild remove the line where a mime patch is applied (appx line 55).
After that :
Code: |
emerge sylpheed-claws
|
An your mime-types should work for S-claws.
(I'll submit a bugreport) |
