DLINK PCMCIA Wireless network card in a HP Laptop.

G'day all. Got myself a new wireless nic card for college and I would like to know how to install such a thing. I use Gentoo release 2.4.20 -wolk4.0s <I think> and I am on a HP pavillion XH535. I use KDE and I would love if some one would tell me how I should go about installing new hardware in general. Any tips would be appreciated. The card is a Dlink DWL-650.

I have heard this is the hardest to do with Gentoo though, but thats just a rumor on my end. Thanks much.
