I have emergen the nforce-audio module. But if I put "nvaudio" into modules.autoload my PC crashes while booting after it loads the nvaudio.
Anyone knows this problem and has a resolution?
(abit NF7-S nforce2)

| Same here, if I try modprobing nvaudio, the system hard locks. It would be nice if this worked, as the alsa drivers I'm currently using don't support hardware mixing, and I was hoping that nVidia's drivers might be a little better... |

use the intel i810 sound, supported in kernel.
works fine

...interesting... mine wouldn't even load nvaudio when i rebooted...
i'll try the i810 sound...

| You can try using alsa too, try using the intel8x0 driver if you decide to go that route. (I have an Asus a7n8x deluxe board w/ nforce2 and this worked fine for me.) I didn't even realize there was support for it in the kernel |
