Hello! I have a problem here (Please excuse my English, isn't that great...). I can't get beryl/compiz working properly, I have AIGLX running without any errors in my logs, but look here:

No transparency, no shadows, etc just black and white borders... 
I've tried every thing... but nothing worked! I have an ATI Radeon X300 PCIe card, and it's in the supported cards list (here).

What I'm missing?? Please help, I don't wanna use ati-drivers cause they really suck... and I wanna use AIGLX!

AFAIK you have to use the proprietary Nvidia drivers to get XGL to work, the open source nv driver is not enough. It could be a similar issue with the ATI cards?

Everything compiled fine, glxgears crash with this message (maby it could help):

I sure hope there's some kind of solution to this one floating around... I'm having the same problem, well mostly.
I can't seem to figure it out, but here's what I know in hopes there is a clue or two:

don't worry over the libGL waring, se here https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6689
For beryl, I had similar problems when I first configured it on my laptop. The problems was caused by one of the plugins. Try to disable them all, and see if you can switch to beryl vm. And then you can just enable the plugins you want one by one.

I tried disabling every module but it still locks up the moment Beryl starts.
With blender acting so funky I'm still convinced something is wrong with the config somewhere...

Mesa 6.5.1 + Xorg 1.1.1 or Mesa 6.5.2 + Xorg 1.2.0 - Try one of those combinations. Try emerge xorg-x11-7.2 (which should pull the correct deps - Mesa 6.5.2 and xorg 1.2.0).
