I updated my system this weekend, including updating gcc to 4.1.1-r3, and xorg-x11 to 7.1; this also updated just about everything else, since part of the process was to emerge system and emerge world. Among several other X11 related problems, my mail is no longer working: I cannot receive email anymore.
This machine is my mail server. It has been running sendmail, spamassassin, and clamav for over a year without problem. The cpu is an AMD Duron running at 1.6 GHz with 512 MB ram and a pair of 250 GB IDE drives as a RAID-1. It boots from either drive. It runs LVM-2 on top of the RAID, and boots via initrd with the root filesystem running under LVM.

Here is what I am seeing: an incoming email is received, passed thru clamd and spamd, and then never makes it into the /var/spool/mail/<username> file. It just gets dropped. Here is /var/spool/messages for an incoming email: | Code: |
