Is this a failing hard drive ?

(from dmesg)

And it eventually fails to mount the hd. . . . . . the drive has been in use less than a month, Its also mounted on a new motherboard, so I'm not 100% sure it isnt the motherboard at fault.

actually, reading the forums, it may be a kernel issue . . . . I'm using 2.6.18-r3, I'll try an older kernel, then to see what happens.

No, No, it isnt specific kernel related, as neither knoppix, nor system-recue-cd can do anything with this disk.


Anyone ?
