LTsix,

emerge nopaste. that can be used to send files or command output to a pastebin site that actually JustWorks
I'm not clicking through all the rubbish to get to your posts.

Code:
nopaste /etc/X11/xorg.conf
nopaste /var/log/Xorg.0.log
lspci | nopaste
will be a good place to start.

LTsix,

Thats better - it all opens in my browser now - one click per link.
Code:
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module radeon
(II) UnloadModule: "radeon"
(EE) Failed to load module "radeon" (module does not exist, 0)
(II) LoadModule: "mouse"
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module mouse
(II) UnloadModule: "mouse"
(EE) Failed to load module "mouse" (module does not exist, 0)
(II) LoadModule: "kbd"
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module kbd
(II) UnloadModule: "kbd"
(EE) Failed to load module "kbd" (module does not exist, 0)
(EE) No drivers available.
suggestes that you did not set INPUT_DEVICES and VIDEO_DEVICES in /etc/make.conf, so none have been installed

You need to
Code:
emerge x11-drivers/xf86-input-keyboard x11-drivers/xf86-input-mouse x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati
to get the bits your are missing.
lspci is provided by pciutils (emerge as required). If I have the nopaste syntax wrong
Code:
lspci > file
nopaste file
will do in in two steps.
