I'm terribly sorry, but I had no clue where to start in searching for an answer for this.

I will be setting up a Packard Bell 486 PC as a gentoo server for one of our remote stores. I know what you're thinking, but it's only a temporary solution while the permanent solution is still sitting somewhere in the endless line of red tape.

Anyway, would I use i486 since it's a 486 machine? For some reason I've been led to believe otherwise. What are you guys' opinions?
