Code: |
default 0
timeout 60
splashimage (hd0,5)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title Gentoo Linux
root (hd0,5)
kernel (hd0,5)/boot/bzImage root=/dev/hda10
title Windows XP
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
makeactive
|
The above is what my grub.conf file looks like. Yet, I can't boot to my Windows XP partition, which is the first partition on my only hard disk.
Will anyone be kind enough to point me in the right direction? Your suggestions, advice and help, are welcome.
Thanks

I, too, have one HD with WinXP as the first partition, and I use GRUB...
The only ways that section of my grublconf differs from yours are:
1. title Cruft
2. I don't have the makeactive line; I just rootnoverify and chainload.
Hope that helps! |
