recently I obtain a 2nd hand VideoCom model DC-995 LCT 19 inch monitor, and I would love to use it in Gentoo...

But I have not been able to google the refresh rate from anywhere, I was wondering if anyone here know the correct refresh rate for it?

any help would be nice.. coz I am very very excited in using a 19 ich monitor for gentoo!! :)

is that an lcd or crt monitor ?

if it is lcd, then just use 60

if it's a crt, then a 19" should be able to do 1024x768@ 100hz and 1280X758 at 85 / 75hz

u can prob use vert sync of 30-96 and horizontal of 85, depending on your res etc.

Sorry, it is a CRt monitor, and this is the resolution I would like to run it in

1280x1024 or 1600x1280 area...

well atleast 1280x1024 anyway

I know it can run in windows at 100hz in 1280x1024, but what is my refresh rate? lol
know how I can import windows timing to linux, know any detection tools?

mobprobe don't do nothing.. and I don't really want to play with setting all sort of refresh rate, I heard it can wreak monitors, is that true?
