I'm having a problem with screen where it will sometimes start corrupting the display. Even if I switch between various windows, it doesn't go away. The only way to "fix" it seems to be by detaching and reattaching several times. For a sample of what's happening I took a screenshot which you can see below:

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening and how I might fix it? This last time that it happened I was using midnight commander to copy lots of files and mc was taking a long time to complete (or even start) the operation, though it never hits 100% cpu--at most about 25%. |

I had the same problem during the Gentoo install, the only way I could fix it was to kill the emerge and type
this fixed it for me, though i had to interrupt my installation for it
It was a certain key or keycomination that made it freak like that..., forgot which one though... _________________ Fvwm|Fvwm forum |

If I use centericq in screen this happens to me a lot. I usually end up having to do a detach and then start it back up with screen -D -R. I ended up just giving up and running centericq in seperate window as opposed to a seperate screen.

There are another couple of threads floating around about this.
If you hit Control-L it will refresh the screen. _________________ Cheers,
