Hallo zusammen,

ich hab hier ne Dell Kiste mit ner SATA Platte drin.
Damit die aber von der Livecd erkannt wird, muss ich im Bios irgend so nen Kompatiblitätsmodus aktivieren.

Irgendwie ist das Ding aber voll langsam. Wenn ich von ner USB Platte was auf die SATA Platte kopiere, hängt das System.
Das ist doch nicht normal, oder.

Ich hab auch mal probiert, nachdem das System installiert war im Bios umzuschalten. Dann findet er aber nach dem laden der initramdisk keine Platte mehr. Brauch ich da nen speziellen Treiber ?

Also Du meinst nicht als Modul sondern fest einbauen ?
Als Modul wird der ja schon gebaut.

ja den solltest du fest im Kernel haben, es sei denn, du möchtest dich mit einer initrd mit Treibern herumschlagen ;)

Also das hab ich probiert und es funktioniert nicht !

Es sagt immer noch /dev/hda3 ist kein anständiges blockdevice oder so.
Heißt da dann das Device anders ?

Ist das dann /dev/sda3 ?

Also: wenn es eine SATA Festplatte ist, dann muß es natürlich /dev/sdax heißen.
Wenn der AHCI Treiber verwendet wird, dann ist es automatisch /dev/sdax.
