Whenever I try to su I get this error:
Code: | su: /lib/libpam_misc.so.0: no version information available (required by su)
su: /lib/libpam.so.0: no version information available (required by su) |
But it still asks me for my password. I had to downgrade to the version of PAM that comes with the 2006.1 release but I've updated my openssh to the most recent ~amd64 version. |

Since it's a shared object, did you try revdep-rebuild? |

I tried revdep-rebuild as well and that did not rebuild anything related to PAM. |

Try Re-emerging shadow. I'm having the same problem but found in another topic that has worked for a few others. _________________ Been there, done that! |
