|
|
Hello,
this afternoon I got a call of one of my customers stating that he received a lot off errorcode 500 when visiting his site.
When I checked this I've got it also, 2-3 times I got this error msg telling me that the server was overloaded (load was 2.3 and 143 proc's running).
So I decided to stop and restart apache, but I got when restarting apache this error msg
magneto init.d # ./apache2: line 73: 350 Aborted ${APACHE2} ${APACHE2_OPTS} -k start [ !! ]
magneto init.d # apache2
Syntax error on line 26 of /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/medusa.conf:
Invalid command 'suPHP_UserGroup', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
in the error_log of apache I find this :
[Fri Feb 02 16:16:49 2007] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec2)
apache2: stack smashing attack in function RAND_poll()
So i have no idea how I can get apache working again (about 250 sites down)
can someone give me some help with this.
I already rebooted the system, but no go.
thx! |

Maybe some more info would help :
magneto init.d # equery depends net-www/apache
[ Searching for packages depending on net-www/apache... ]
dev-util/subversion-1.1.1-r3
net-mail/mailman-2.1.5-r4
dev-php/suphp-0.5.2
www-apache/mod_evasive-1.10.1
net-www/mod_fastcgi-2.4.2
net-www/mod_bw-0.6
magneto init.d # emerge --pretend --verbose --update --newuse --deep subversion mailman suphp mod_evasive mod_fastcgi mod_bw
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
Calculating dependencies -
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "dev-php/php-cgi".
(dependency required by "dev-php/suphp-0.6.0" [ebuild])
Can please someone help me on this one?
I have no clue what is going wrong and I have loads of customers calling me like crazy.
The server is a dual opteron with 2gb mem and raid5 scsi disks |

Ok, got some things solved.
First of all I'm able to restart apache, seemed he was hitting the open file limit (more than 1024 hosts (domains + subdomains) in his conf.
So I deleted a 80 vhosts (that didn't exist annymore).
But now I can't get php working, html and so on is no problem, but when I want go to a php website or php script I get a downloadbox and get the php file without any parsing, so I stopped apache, otherwise some db logins and so on are hitting the streets, and that's not the point.
I update suphp to 0.6 (latest version I think) but no luck.
Someone any idea how to resolve this issue?
Out of ideas at the moment on this one |
