Ok, I've got an old hdd I have set at hdb. I want to wipe out the non-XP partitions, and create new for backups and whatnot. Now for the dumb question - how? Havn't done this kind of thing before, so I got to ask...

I think maybe I'm missing what you really what.
Shouldn't it be as easy as starting fdisk, removing the unwanted partitions and then creating the new one?

Can you list the output of
Code:
fdisk -l

also. (I'm guessing XP is on the first partition also?)

lol. Figured I was missing something somewhere. I'm good, just didn't remember how to do it.

Yeah, hdb1&2 are XP. The rest I'm going to scrap for backup and maybe for a media partition (might throw my swap on there. Hrm...).

Thanks for jogging my mem. I needed it.
