Hi,
I'm running on a AMD64 (emachines 6811) with both via-rhine (wirelan) and bcm43xx (wireless) configuration. When both are present, I only have eth0 and lo listed under ifconfig. If I look at /proc/net/dev, I have a third entry: _?: (vs. eth0:). If I do a ifconfig up on the ?_ device it recognizes it as a broadcom wireless card. If I rmmod the via-rhine and bcm43xx and only bringup the bcm43xx module, I still get a ?_: for a device entry. Any ideas why I'm getting an invalid device name? The firmware is from the windows side as per instructions |

Hi,
I did a emerge update and the issue went away. My guess it was udev being updated since I did not rebuild anything in the kernel...
Please mark this as solved. |
