Is it possible to stop Postfix logging all the POP3D and IMAPD logins from users?
Half of my log files are filled with people logging in to check mail, when all I want is the mail that gets rejected in there really. Cos that's all I'm checking the log files for, errors!
Thanks
Edit: Changed title to reflect that its not postfix specific Twas just a blonde moment earlier on. _________________ WARNING: It is a violation of federal law to use me in a way inconsistent with my labelling. Ummmm.... Postfix doesn't accept POP or IMAP logins, it's only an MTA. You need to look at "rc-status" and see what you're running for a POP/IMAP server, and then look at that package's configuration for cutting down on the log noise.
Or if you're using syslog-ng, you could look at using the filtering facilities to get just what you're looking for. _________________ .sigs waste space and bandwidth |

Ah yes. Blonde moment.
Using Courier for POP/IMAP, they all log to mail.log though. So assuming syslog-ng, but I've never really looked much into those. _________________ WARNING: It is a violation of federal law to use me in a way inconsistent with my labelling.
